Dealing with anxiety on the daily has been a personal struggle of mine. I know a lot of us out here can probably find some point of commonality when it comes to mental health struggles. Mental health awareness has come a long way and I’m really happy that it’s something that is getting much more attention. We all have our struggles y’all. Be kind, be understanding & don’t be afraid to reach out to someone if you need to talk 🤍

Yesterday, we survived our first ultrasound to assess Aurora for hip dysplasia. I remember sitting in our paediatrician’s office finding out that our little nugget could potentially need a #pavlikharness for 12 plus weeks 23-24 hours a day, I was stunned and incapable of processing this information. It wasn’t until we got home the wave of emotions hit like a tsunami. So many questions ran through my mind, fear of the unknown set in, and frustration facing these unexpected challenges! It was not the frustration of the challenges we would face, but of the unexpected nature in which they occurred! Not once was hip dysphasia ever mentioned when referring to her breech presentation, or the need for routine US to assess her hip status. During the newborn phase, moms and dads are faced with such a steep learning curve, it seems like providing them with foresight as to expected challenges ahead would be a pivotal part to providing them with support to process their new journey with ease!
with the help of Adam, baby snuggles, puppy kisses, family and friends, I have finally processed our new journey and wrapped my head around what the next 3 months could look like!
I wasn’t sure I could share this so candidly, but it has been so helpful having such a supportive community here to help process and provide insight into our journey ahead!
Thank you to everyone who reached out yesterday, for all your positive words, prayers, and love! This community is truly like no other!
